The North East Regional Research and Audit Group meeting 2017 saw a diverse programme of presentations representing a dynamic range of studies, quality improvement projects, and case reports from across the region. This meeting was an excellent chance for specialists across the region to get-together, to share ideas and our enthusiasm for our specialty.
The meeting also saw the award of the Kelly-Young MRCP Diabetes & Endocrinology Prize. This prize is awarded annually to the trainee at the earliest stage of training to successfully pass the MRCP diabetes & endocrinology specialty certificate examination. The 2017 prize was jointly awarded to Su Ann Tee and Ahmed Al-Sharefi – many congratulations!
The ‘best presentation’ prize at NERRAG was awarded to Owain Leng for his presentation on ‘The diurnal variation of serum Thyroid Stimulating Hormone in patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction’.
I am certain you are all looking forward to NERRAG 2018 – we hope to see you there!
